Belgrave Officers - High Visibility Patrols

Officers from the Belgrave Neighbourhood Policing Team, including PC 4809, have been carrying out high-visibility patrols across the Belgrave area in response to ongoing jewellery and distraction thefts.

The patrols aim to deter criminal activity, provide reassurance to local residents and businesses, and engage with the community to improve safety. Officers will continue to maintain a visible presence in areas affected by recent incidents and encourage the public to remain vigilant.

Crime Prevention Advice

To help reduce the risk of becoming a victim of theft:

✅ Stay aware of your surroundings, particularly in busy public areas.
✅ Keep jewellery, mobile phones and other valuables out of sight where possible.
✅ Maintain a safe distance from strangers who approach unexpectedly.
✅ Be cautious if someone attempts to distract you, touch you, or invade your personal space.

Report Suspicious Activity

🚩 Report any suspicious behaviour or concerns to the police.
🚩 Always call 999 if a crime is in progress or there is an immediate threat to life or property.
